About

Seoul, 2019

I am Ilya Kazakov, a freelance digital artist and illustrator based in Paris, France.

Originally from Sakha (Yakutia), I have over 20 years of experience in 2D illustration, character design, and frame-by-frame animation. Prior to fully dedicating myself to illustration and personal projects, I worked as an Art Director until 2019.

My work focuses on creating compelling visual storytelling for editorial publications, illustrations, and animation. I have collaborated with international clients such as Adobe, Apple, Forbes, GQ, L’Oréal, Samsung, and McDonald’s, bringing their ideas to life through engaging illustrations and distinctive character designs.

In 2021, I minted my first NFT and continue to explore digital art and new media, participating in exhibitions in Paris, New York, Montreal etc.

Currently based in France, I am open to collaborations with brands, publishers, and agencies globally.

Outside of work, I enjoy birdwatching, brewing coffee, and traveling.

My aspiration is to publish illustrated books and create animated films featuring my original characters.

I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you.
